About

First person. Same road tenor that names the berth before the moral lands.

I am Torin Vale. Mid-forties. Concord human — lean under a worn brown duster, wavy brown hair at the jaw, short beard, dark burgundy scarf that has outlived three scarves and one bad manager. My axe is a custom twelve-string acoustic with a piezo older than most jump clearances. Fingerpicked. Chord work that leaves room for the story. Harmonica only when the verse earns the breath. Voice sits in a warm tenor pocket with clear diction — if you cannot hear the place name, I failed.

I write narrative folk for Corridor Light. Migrant campfires under ring-shadow. Gate queues that learn a hymn out of stubbornness. Credstick arithmetic that still has a heartbeat. Place names first. Always. Bridges that land like verdicts. Melancholy that refuses to become a pamphlet or a Concord hold-music loop. Not Jonah's lounge singalong. Not Remy's electric bar punches. Not Loombridge comedy dragons — that Net face is a different catalog, and I will not cross-credit a mug song under this name.

Come and Catch Me is bounty-paper defiance. Liability Baby is the write-off ballad auditors hate. Credstick Gospel is jump fee with grocery money. Meridian Rain is annex weather and smiles that move too fast. Pre-Gate Hulls remembers steel the ledger forgot. Gate Queue Hymn is still here, still here — a pulse check for bodies the system would rather file as numbers.

I busk Spire transit-ring layovers because a story dies if it never meets a tired face. Lights polish the Net face; under them I'm still the guy who starts with a dry berth edge and ends with whatever truth survived the edit. People ask me to soften endings. Kindness is not the same as mercy, and mercy is not the same as a lie that fits between jump-insurance ads.

KSPI 94.7 books me when the soft hours need a story more than a hook. Bring your own kettle. Leave the soft lie at customs. The twelve-string will still be tuned.
