Continuity Caucus Demands Senate Recess "Until Security Is Real" — Berthline Smells a Stall

I.
I will not pretend objectivity. Driftwood reads Berthline with affection and Continuity Caucus with the patience one reserves for relatives who rearrange your furniture during a funeral.

After the attempt on Governor Edric Vey, Continuity senators discovered a sudden theology of recess: the Senate should pause "until security is real." The phrase sounds parental. The calendar smells of ring-fee sabotage.
III.
President Ishikura has already refused to govern from under a desk. Berthline majorities smell a stall on rebate language. Rim governors — Vey among them, even injured — have no interest in becoming the excuse that parks Federation leverage while Concord invoices another quarter of patience.
IV.
A recess will not resurrect a custody interview. A recess will not publish a silhouette. A recess will teach every lobbyist that violence is a scheduling tool.

If Continuity wants security, fund Bastion properly and stop treating Valemar like a seasonal inconvenience. If they want delay, say delay. The Corridor has enough smoke without new brands of it.
