About the Author
Wendi Coffman-Porter
Writer. World-builder. Still making things because the spark never learned how to quit.
I have been a writer and author since I was a kid. An only child, I grew up on military bases around the world. Dogs have been my best friends for as long as I can remember.
I started roleplaying in the 1980s and have been a professionally paid GM. I am also a published author with books in regular bookstores — not just online. I love all genres of storytelling, and ever since the advent of Cursor I have been in love with world building online.
This website changes often as my next project takes over and I get inspired, but I can honestly say this has been a fun journey. I enjoy making in-game ads, music, and even in-game podcasts. I stream my novels at Brassleaf Library, write fantasy bard music and sci-fi music for Corridor Radio, and I have been building websites professionally since the early 90s — and I have even built a couple of applications.
Despite the political and media climate across the world, and despite the constant threat of death from a very severe allergy (hence the service dog that goes with me everywhere to keep me alive), I am very happy in my life. I have good friends, good kids, dogs, cats, and chickens, and the best life partner anyone could ever ask for. Life is good and creativity is better. If I could get some of these dogs into adopted homes, life would be quieter, which might be nice — but I am not complaining. As my husband says, “I love my Potato chips!”
This site holds the books, the radio, and the worlds. Use them. Listen. Play. I hope it gives you a little joy.
The books
Site listens live in Brassleaf Library — my wood-and-brass audiobook desk. They are read by Master Alderion Thorne — a voice I built in ElevenLabs from my own recordings. Aether Ones is fully up. Other titles arrive as chapters finish.
I write across genres. Science fiction. Fantasy. Adventure. Mystery. Crime. Dark stories. Lighter ones. I bounce between series and standalones when a character will not leave me alone. I do not stay in one lane on purpose.
Storytelling is the part I love. I look forward to spending the rest of my life writing the crazy stories of the people who live in my head — and putting more of them in your ears when the chapters are ready.
