Dead Reckon panels come from ship hull liners, machine guards, and occasionally things sellers refuse to name. Layers of aramid cloth are pressed around thin steel scales, then sealed in rubberized paint. The result bends enough for a seat back or coat lining but hangs like wet roofing. It stops fragments well and pistol rounds sometimes. Edges are hand-cut, so gloves are wise during fitting. No two panels share thickness or weight. A chalk number on the back claims the batch test result; whether the tested panel belonged to this batch is a theological question. Cheap armor is still armor. It is also an agreement to discover its limits personally.
