The ghost-serial pistol has no number because someone milled the receiver until the metal grew dangerously thin, then filled the hollow with black resin. Tool marks remain under the coating like old scars. Mechanically it is a compact service automatic with a shortened grip, replaced barrel, and trigger polished by an amateur who valued smoothness over restraint. It conceals well, shoots acceptably, and may fire when dropped if the internal safety was among the parts deemed unnecessary. The magazines do not match the frame finish. Neither matches the case. Buyers are not purchasing provenance. They are purchasing a weapon that begins every legal conversation at the worst possible sentence.
