Longwatch Salvage Optic

Longwatch is an old surveyor’s scope converted for wreck picking. The glass is excellent, the range drum is brass, and the added radiation meter looks like it was attached with plumbing clamps because it was. Through the eyepiece, painted measurement lines help estimate hull plate, cable runs, and the size of objects across a dark bay. The meter clicks when hot salvage is nearby, but it cannot tell a valuable isotope from a lethal dust pocket. Users who chase the fastest clicking tend not to resell the scope. Its leather case carries decades of chalk notes from previous owners: coordinates, debts, and one careful recipe for mushroom soup.
