Dockglass Warden was designed for gangway cages and bonded-cargo turnstiles, places where rain comes sideways and every third visitor claims the manifest clerk made a mistake. The sealed controller sits high on the interior post; below it, a stainless drop bolt enters a replaceable manganese-steel floor cup. Installers run armored power and data in separate channels, then stamp both conduit glands with numbered lead seals. Access comes from dock badges, one-use cargo chits, or a watch key that must be turned while the release bar is held. The Warden keeps 8,000 signed events and advances a mechanical counter for every powered or manual opening. Floodwater across the floor cup causes false obstruction alarms, which is why the drain slot exists and why somebody must occasionally clean it. A reserve battery maintains monitoring for four days and cycles the bolt thirty times. Breaking a bonded-goods seal can suspend a crew’s loading privileges before anyone decides whether a crime actually occurred.
