Second Bell Narrow fits the miserable strip of metal left beside sliding kiosk shutters and dockside counting-room doors. Its sintered-steel hook turns sideways into a six-millimeter strike, driven by a flat motor between brushed alloy cheeks. The installer rivets a backing spine inside the frame, bonds the strike with four shear pins, and runs power through a braided hinge jumper. A coded key wafer opens it; managers may also issue time-limited clerk wafers from the interior console. The latch stores 5,000 events and scratches a fine index line onto a replaceable steel tape each time the hook moves. Door grit causes false obstruction alarms, particularly after cargo sweepers push dust into the bottom track. A reserve strip cell provides seven days of monitoring and eighty openings. Narrow’s small footprint doesn’t make the door stronger. It does make tampering obvious—and in leased kiosks, a marked audit tape is enough for the station to seize the deposit before the tenant finishes objecting.
