This is the service behind the Nightglass blade, sold to people too attached to their own sword to buy another one. Bound Arms strips the edge, suspends the weapon in a vacuum kiln, and grows a diamond-hard carbon lattice across the working surfaces. A mage then grounds the crystal grain so it will carry an enchantment instead of scattering it into sparks and bad language. The process takes three days, cannot be rushed, and fails on cheap cast metal, memory alloys, or blades already carrying an incompatible coating. The shop returns rejected weapons untouched—minus the inspection fee. Successful work comes with a fitted edge sleeve and a stamped warning that most port authorities will read as “please search this person thoroughly.”
