Blue Static wears its legality on the outside: cobalt permit band, exposed serial rail, and a chamber indicator visible from across a checkpoint desk. Underneath, it is a compact pulse-fired pistol with a polymer frame and a pleasantly boring trigger. The weapon limits burst speed when loaded with civilian magazines, a restriction enforced by a replaceable control wafer rather than remote software. That keeps it lawful without letting a network administrator brick it during a riot. The slideless action collects less grit than conventional pistols, though carbon still cakes the gas vents. After fifty rounds the frame smells like ozone and hot coins. Some shooters find that reassuring. Others buy gloves.
