  • a black tab or broken pressure seal imposes Malf. 15 on any weapon using the lot; critical malfunction ruptures the case and destroys the remaining magazine

Coldrail Picket Sealed Ammunition Transit Pattern is a pressure-stable ammunition lot packed in gasketed ten-round sleeves with tactile caliber keys and chemical heat tabs, intended for declared carriage between gates and pressure zones. The container combines a corrosion-resistant steel core under replaceable polymer grip panels. The seal keeps propellant dry and prevents loose rounds from becoming cabin debris. Swollen primers or a blackened age tab mean the sleeve gets quarantined, not sampled.

The batch marks remain legible under solvent and vacuum exposure. If two sleeves share a number but not a primer color, one of them did not leave an honest factory.

The lot belongs on the ship's arms manifest and must cross gates sealed. Broken seals invite seizure of the whole case, not merely the suspect cartridges.
