The Second Bell is a squat shipboard locker built from layered steel-ceramic plate, with recessed hinges and a door lip meant to defeat pry bars. Inside, adjustable cradles hold three long arms or a mixed rack of sidearms and ammunition. The lock accepts crew badges, a mechanical override key, and—because somebody at the factory had sense—a hand crank that still works after the power bus dies. A narrow status strip records every opening without broadcasting the inventory across the local net. It is heavy, ugly, and happiest bolted through a deck plate. Dock crews buy these after the first theft. Captains buy them after the second.
