Emergency Suit Inflator Cartridge

The emergency inflator is a fist-sized cartridge clipped beside a suit’s pressure valve. Yank the red loop and it dumps expanding seal foam plus breathable reserve gas into the bladder, buying pressure faster than a frightened person can find a puncture. The foam chases the strongest airflow and hardens around small tears. It also fills joints, blocks cooling channels, and turns later repair into an afternoon of scraping blue rubber from expensive fabric. One cartridge is one chance. Crews write installation dates directly on the casing because old propellant cakes at the bottom. Shake it. If something rattles, the cartridge has already made a decision without you.
