Glace Span’s patch bay is a service cradle where wounded vac suits go to be made trustworthy again. The suit lies flat beneath a pressure hood while scanner arms find pinholes, stretched seams, contaminated valves, and patches placed by shaking hands in darkness. Damaged fabric is cleaned, bonded, and pressure-cycled three times. The technician signs the repair on an internal tag rather than pretending it never happened. Small blood stains remain unless the customer pays for laundering. Most do not. A bay appointment takes half a shift and costs less than a new shell. It costs considerably more than adhesive tape, which is why the shop keeps photographs of tape failures near the counter.
