A clinic optic that writes short evidence loops to an encrypted wafer behind the temple jack — timestamps, gaze marks, and audio if the patient bought the throat mic add-on. Default storage is offline-only on the wafer; exporting needs the patient key and a deck tether. Insurers and Concord inspectors love demanding the wafer after a fight. Alley "scrub" jobs can wipe it, and reputable clinics can tell when someone tried. Glassnerve will not sell a silent always-on spy profile without paperwork that makes everyone uncomfortable.
Recording optics are legal with notice in many ports; covert modes are not. Tamper seals void if forced.
