Paleclay looks like five squat cartridges of grey toothpaste and behaves rather better after firing. Fabricators use it for electrical standoffs, heat shields, casting molds and chemically resistant fixtures. Unfired parts are fragile enough to mark with a thumbnail. Fired parts ring like cheap crockery and break with the same complete lack of apology.
LC4 composite feedstock; uncured binder is an irritant.
