Coldrail grows the saber's pale cutting insert as one continuous crystal, then locks it into a flexible alloy spine before the lattice has fully cooled. There is no bevel to polish and no row of microscopic teeth—just an edge narrow enough that dust can ruin the inspection gauge. The basket hilt seals around a pressure glove, and a mechanical edge lock slides over the blade for crowded concourses. Security contractors like it because it keeps cutting after electromagnetic trouble kills powered weapons. Duelists like it because the balance is viciously good. Sealmark Arms sells replacement inserts, but the price strongly encourages owners to stop blocking crowbars with the sharp side.
Concord restricted-melee permit required. Public carry requires the supplied edge lock.
