Pollinator Bee Box (Sealed)

The sealed box carries a thumb-sized queen and several hundred corridor bees behind a double vestibule. Warm wax, sugar, and dry hay are healthy smells; vinegar means the feed gel has spoiled. Strap the box beside the orchard for one full watch, keep its moss wick damp, and synchronize twelve hours of flight light before opening the gate. Cooperative gardens and survey habitats need pollination enough to tolerate the paperwork. Wealthy conservatories employ handlers and call the colony decorative. Crew without a licensed garden usually cannot buy one at all. The bees improve fruit set and yield a little wax, but pesticide drift, overheated comb, or moldy gel can kill the queen quietly. Open an agitated colony in free fall and ventilation distributes stinging insects everywhere—including medical, where somebody may discover an allergy at the least convenient moment.
