This replacement mat combines mineral felt, cork fiber, and dormant competitive fungi beneath a spore-filter fern. Dry stock smells of paper and stone; a live loaded mat smells earthy, while sour mushrooms mean saturation. Soak it with 500 ml mineral water, seat it beneath the root cage, and give the fern low light immediately. Freight crews buy stacks for suit lockers and garden doors. Licensed clinics treat them as disposable biohazard supplies. Wealthy habitats hide the same ugly felt behind horticultural walls. The mat captures nuisance spores; it does not sterilize air. Handle a full one by its tabs, seal it before transport, and never wring it out. Overwatering activates the wrong growth. A torn loaded mat can release a month's concentrated capture into ventilation and turn cheap prevention into berth-wide exposure.
