The Warden-pattern heavy sidearm is a thick-framed revolver for places where magazines, feed lips, and delicate springs cannot be trusted. Six large cartridges sit under a top strap you could use as a tow point, though the manual discourages experimentation. The grip is rubber over steel and far too broad for small hands until a smith changes the panels. It fires through mud, dust, and neglect, then punishes the shooter for every ounce of that reliability. Wardens carry it for dangerous fauna and engine-room emergencies. Young deputies carry it because Wardens do. After the first qualification course, most young deputies develop an interest in lighter pistols.
