Bluewake shells are painted the color of emergency strobes and built to be grabbed. Every plate has a recessed handhold. The back opens into a short rigid rescue cocoon that can carry one injured person through smoke, hard vacuum, or chemical rain while sharing the suit’s air. Folded, the cocoon looks like an ugly spine. Deployed, it looks worse—and keeps somebody alive.
White Mane technicians leave a thumbprint in blue enamel beneath the rear collar. Rescue crews have made a ritual of touching it before cycling an airlock. The company says this is not part of the warranty procedure. Nobody has stopped.
