Cold-Heart is a waist-high steel cabinet with six insulated drawers and a habit of humming when everyone else has gone to sleep. It charges, balances, chills, and stress-tests the large cells that keep powered armor from becoming architecture. A bad cell is locked in its drawer and marked with a red mechanical flag. The flag cannot be cleared in software. White Mane has opinions about software.
The cabinet’s top is deliberately sloped so crews cannot bury it under coffee cups. Crews use magnetic cups.
