Mark: Tovin Bead-Lock — dwarf male, sixty-seven, five-foot-two Hardfell frame, forge-tan skin, beard threaded with kiln-glass beads that click when he laughs. Runs the brass scale at Tin Crown Pawn in Sump-Nine. Smells like pawn solvent, cold tea, and a scale that has weighed too many pit badges.
Crime: Alleged theft and fencing of a guild oathplate held as loan collateral. Steward Bera Oath-Reed swears the loan was never authorized. Tovin swears the plate walked during a Brass Vein shift blackout and that his lockbox sigil was cloned. The Oathplate Pit Guild wants him breathing so lineage beads and witness marks can be read under light that is not a funeral pyre.
