She's Goblishili — rose-violet skin with an old, deep shimmer, white hair braided through with rings from four houses that have hired her and two that have tried to buy her, oversized ears that catch a lie before it finishes leaving your mouth. She's been clearing value on this berth for forty years, long enough to have watched the Hegemony's fiscal courts squeeze the frontier houses until the honest ones bled the same as the greedy ones, and somewhere in there she stopped believing the ledger and the law were the same thing. She'll meet your cold-dock drop personally if the cargo's the kind that matters. She'll thank you in a chirp so warm you'll forget she just weighed your whole crew by ear.

What she does with your pallets is re-register their real contents under a friendly Whisper Berth charter before a fiscal-court freeze at the Core can lock them — the credit-cores you may or may not know you carried. Whether that's a rescue or a heist depends on the house behind it, and Nix knows exactly which and won't volunteer it. Push her honest and she'll tell you straight whose liquidity she's saving and why; push her wrong and she'll clear you off her berth as smoothly as she clears a bad debt.
