Goblishili

Goblishili — *the four-foot bankers who own the Orion arm's math.*

Concord clerks file them as "compact migrant stock," which tells you the clerk never cleared a yacht loan. The Goblishili are sapient, independent, and unimposing beside anyone who measures worth by reach — not goblins, never that word on formal documents.

Form — Adults rarely exceed four feet, with dense, compact vault-born builds. Skin runs rose pink, violet purple, deep emerald green, brilliant sapphire blue, and teal between, often with a faint shimmer under lamplight. Hair and eyes vary enormously: reds, golds, whites, violets, metallic silvers, and unnatural combinations common in both. Oversized pointed ears catch tonal lies humans never hear; low-light vision and obsessive detail recognition are species hallmarks. Male and female both common in every trade tier.

In the Orion arm they run the sphere's largest clearing houses and the best-regarded luxury yards. The Goblishili Orion Hegemony spans hundreds of chartered worlds under a Mutual Charter democracy — citizen assemblies, elected fiscal courts, admirals who publish budgets, and charter votes that can erase a house overnight. Their Hegemony Navy escorts the convoys everyone else's credit depends on. Their shipwrights rival only the dwarves — and the rivalry is structural: Goblishili credit and luxury tall-spec versus dwarven mining, smelting, and workhorse hull plate that owns roughly ninety percent of Orion Corridor mining and most ship/station fabrication upstream. Outright war has not happened in almost a hundred years; outer-system skirmishes are common enough that honest captains plan for both repo teams and convoy "accidents."

On Khesret they are everywhere money moves quietly: Meridian Spire annex desks, undercity port factor offices, sump fixers who speak chirp-trade faster than Customs can parse. Gate migrants arrive with fantasy vault memories (tram lines, incentive houses, contracts signed in ear-twitch dialect) that do not match Orion charter law — and still get hired, because nobody counts coin like they do.
