Sump-Nine Port District

Overview

Sump-Nine Port District

Forty kilometers straight down from the spire crown, Sump-Nine is where Khesret-Prime does its honest breathing. It is a freight-and-dock warren in the lower arcology bands — slow-lane cargo, gray-market repair bays, noodle counters open at every hour because down here there is no such thing as morning. The undercity keeps its own weather: recycled fog, drip, and the warm exhaust of ten thousand machines.

It is a fixer's town. Work gets brokered over cheap food and cheaper drinks; a crew with a ship and a reputation eats when the jobs are good and improvises when they aren't. Corp reach thins to almost nothing this far down — which is exactly why the priced-out, the paid-off, and the quietly hunted end up here.

There is always music somewhere: a hollow-body guitar and a loose house band in a port dive, playing the songs the towers would rather nobody sang out loud.
