Khesret-Prime

Overview

Khesret-Prime

Khesret-Prime is the garden mainworld of a free-charter jump hub — finance, media, and freight for a human sphere that runs across thousands of colonized worlds. It is not Earth, and Concord does not own the dirt: the Meridian Gate Ring overhead is Concord corporate hardware and the local tariff headquarters for distance itself. Two moons ride a copper sunset, and four primary spurs scratch the night toward Sol, Thul'vaneh Core, Hardfell Core, and Ee'la.

The census is measured in billions and counted in layers. Vertical cities stack into arcologies; arcologies sink roots into undercities that have their own weather. A dockhand in the sump and a lodge-broker in the spire crown may live forty kilometers apart — straight up. Every people the sphere ever seeded lives here: humans are one majority among many, and the migrant tide from the gates keeps it that way.

Magic is real and regulated. Awakened traditions, spirits woven into flesh and infrastructure, corporate lodge mages on retainer, and street adepts who never registered. The Astral Court writes treaties that bind the powerful and inconvenience everyone else; nobody bans the art, and nobody pretends it is safe.

Out here the tone is cool, wry, and a little tired — a used future of cheap food, good jazz, honest debt, and work that is legal right up until it isn't. Corps run the towers, fixers run the middle, and cleanup crews run the parts nobody photographs. It is a good place to disappear and a bad place to be owed money.
