Overview
Weekly Measure Archive is where the mission stops being a route and becomes diplomacy. iron dust, slow amber index lights, broad archive tables, cooling machinery ticking in the walls, and pauses long enough to make impatient people confess. Every delegation has a table, a witness, and one clause they swear is merely procedural.
An automated mining outpost pings weekly, then goes dark. A long-memory delegation must determine whether silence means failure, protest, or a claim obligation nobody living remembers signing. The venue keeps the argument public enough that nobody can quietly rewrite the result after departure. Side rooms exist, naturally. So do copied drafts, timed recesses, and clerks who know exactly which sentence changed overnight.
Restore contact, hear the operator and archive claimants, and negotiate repair, disclosure, and standing obligations that can survive another century. Failure does not mean a gunfight by default. It means a walkout, a rival instrument, a closed gate classification, or a debt that lands on people who never sat at the table. That's plenty of trouble for one room.
