The Bellscar announces itself with a note too low to hear cleanly and too strong to ignore in your teeth. Its crescent blade rides on piezoelectric roots inside a thick-backed collar; squeeze the deadman strip and the edge begins a minute controlled oscillation meant to worry apart rigid plate. Kethline’s forge crews tune each head against hanging slabs of republic armor alloy, tapping the spine and listening through their jawbones. The weapon is still useful when empty, but live resonance punishes a loose grip and turns bad edge alignment into numb fingers. Interchangeable hafts make it a human-scale export rather than a ceremonial giant’s toy.
Restricted resonance arm; transit requires an inert head lock and registered owner.
