Blackwake spears are built for the miserable half minute after an airlock opens and everybody’s plans become debris. The head carries a narrow punch point, a hook for handrails or suit webbing, and a cold-gas counterjet that fires opposite the thrust. It does not cancel recoil; it merely keeps a human boarder from pinwheeling like dropped cutlery. Karthunai fitters lap each valve in a frost cabinet and paint the accepted seam with chalk-white ceramic. The shaft has glove-swollen controls, magnetic deck pads, and a tether eye stout enough to arrest the weapon—not a tumbling armored fool attached to it.
Restricted boarding arm; declared stowage and vessel-master authorization required.
