The retrofit hides a tuned oscillator in the hilt and sends a tight, vicious tremor down a blade that was never meant to sing. In a Karthunai forge bay the first test is done against scrap plate, behind a screen, with everyone pretending not to flinch. Switched off, the weapon handles much as it did before. Switched on, it bites hard material with a dentist-drill whine felt through gloves and teeth. Bad fitting loosens grips, walks fasteners out of scabbards, and turns heirloom steel into several emotionally significant pieces.
Installation converts the host blade into a powered weapon and may alter its local legal classification.
