The Writbeard began as a Karthun boarding axe and survived export by becoming less enormous, not less serious. Its hooked lower blade catches shield rims, hatch lips, and cargo webbing; the poll is flat enough to drive a wedge without ruining it. Every head is differential-tempered in a salt-cold trough, leaving a cloudy line across the dark steel, and the socket bears three tiny inspection chops from separate forge hands. Kethline offers human, Karthun, and narrow-grip hafts with identical head geometry. There is no motor hidden inside. Just leverage, honest steel, and a beard that reaches into places fingers should not.
