Druvkhar Post

Overview

Druvkhar Post

Three hops off Khesret through imperial lanes — Vosskar Reach, Vossar Prime, then out the spine to a dry frontier where the Vossaran Imperium keeps its paperwork honest and its officers nervous. HIP 38382 is a desert world under a thin, iron-tasting sky: rust-red flats, wind-scoured mesas, and a starport that looks like someone stamped a fort onto a grave and called it sufficient. Tens of thousands live here, mostly in the shadow of the march — clerks, garrison staff, remand escorts, and the kind of Crodoc who prefers a posting where the Admiralty's eye is close but the court world's gossip is far away.

This is not a war zone. The Imperium is allied with Solaris and fighting nobody the Corridor admits to. Druvkhar Post exists for something quieter and sharper: internal military justice — the border march where demoted officers, failed convoy captains, and scandal-touched shock-line commanders get delivered intact so the empire can try them under its own law, in its own time, without the court at Vossar Prime turning into theater. The bicameral seats still matter — on-chart court at Vossar Prime, ancestral tribunal weight at Thornward Primus — but out here the process is patient, formal, and very hard to appeal.

You come down through heat shimmer into a compound of sun-bleached stone and navy-issue shade-cloth, past checkpoints that read kenning line-names off your manifest and mean it. Kharoz on the forms; Vryngate Common on the dock when someone's being kind. The culture is Crodoc honor writ small: visible function in every line name, female officers in the tactician chairs, male shock formations kept on a short leash until a verdict says otherwise. Deliver your remand passenger to the court steps, collect your fee, and get gone before someone asks whether you believed his story.
