HIP 47780 is a dead world with a customs ring parked over its grave — and a war fleet parked over the lane. One gate hop off Khesret on the CR-5 approach, it's the first stamp of Vossaran Imperium ground most Corridor haulers ever see, and the empire holds it hard. This is the fortified front door: the gate node where the Imperium's forward push fleet screens the approaches to its core systems, so nobody sails up the CR-5 spine toward Vossar Prime without being counted first. The star is an aging orange dwarf gone dim and cool; whatever heat once fed the arcology down on the surface burned out generations back. Now the planet is trace atmosphere, rust-colored dust, and the shattered bones of orbital towers that stopped answering their transponders long before anyone alive was born.

Nobody lives groundside. Everyone on Vosskar Reach lives on the ring or rides a hull through it — imperial customs staff, a Concord bond liaison, naval supply crews, and the salvage contractors licensed to work the belts. It's an orderly posting: cameras, stamps, a picket squadron on the board, and a lane that runs on schedule because the Admiralty likes it that way. Official business runs in Kharoz, the imperial tongue; the dock floor works in Vryngate Common, because a fuel line doesn't care what language the crew swears in. Get your manifest stamped and get gone. That's the whole culture of the place.

The belts are the other business — three thick bands of debris, cracked arcology orbitals and old wreck fields the Imperium works as licensed salvage under Admiralty writ. Salvage tenders and naval pickets share the run-in, so mind your traffic on approach. Everything pulled off those wrecks is imperial prize, logged and shipped up the chain to the Navy. Vosskar Reach is a chokepoint, a graveyard, and a very orderly little machine — a secured gate held by paperwork and a fleet, wearing the imperial flag without apology.
