Concord — *the rings are not a public utility. They are a product.*

Concord is the corporation that built and owns the Orion Corridor's jump-gate network — what spacers call the rings. Every hub queue, tariff, and CHC registry stamp flows from Concord's charter. The company also sets Concord Common, hunter escrow, and the insurance bands that decide whether your hull is "flightworthy" or "sentimental hazard."

Ring work is droid-heavy — always has been. Gates are hungry machines; Tesla units from Mars handle most coupling maintenance under Concord contract. Travelers barely notice. Spokespeople like Lann Vere front tariff hikes. The Chief Executive — same name on filings since the first ring (~2185) — has never been verified in person. Earnings calls are audio-only. Analysts say that's impossible.

Concord is not the Solaris Federation. The Feds patrol; Concord bills. When a Legacy ship surfaces — a hull that can star-hop without the rings — Concord's salvage arms have a reputation for finding it, buying it, and scrapping it before the tariff theology develops a crack.
