This listing buys a made-to-order commission based on the original Cabin Leaves, with one owner named at the final fitting before the permanent bond closes. The first pair began as two dark little swords on a cabin wall, the sort of expensive family relic visitors politely avoid asking about. Their maraging spines carry powder-metal edges under a vacuum-grown carbon lattice, matte enough to swallow berth light until the working wakes and a narrow blue line appears along the grain. Port carries a little more weight toward the cut. Starboard narrows into a thrusting point. Both hilts know their owner, both will bite something that has forgotten how to be solid, and neither has a motor to announce itself before the first stroke. Bound Arms' appraisal calls them a bonded matched set. The clerk's handwritten note calls them “beautiful, catastrophically overqualified shortswords.” They travel in grounded sleeves because touching the edge to check whether the warning is serious remains a popular form of self-education.
