Ashline’s lift harness is sealed against smoke, ash, and firefighting foam. Ceramic actuator housings shrug off heat while a positive-pressure membrane keeps grit from the joints. Rescue crews wear it to move collapsed beams, drag pressure doors, and carry armored casualties through spaces where cranes cannot follow. The frame reads posture and refuses lifts likely to fold the wearer’s spine. There is an override, because designers eventually meet firefighters. When used, the harness paints the joint limits red and records everything. Charred examples often continue working after the fabric straps are gone. Replace the straps anyway. A machine’s stubbornness should not be mistaken for your own immortality.
