Copper Ghost gauntlets use braided metal tendons along the fingers, visible beneath smoke-clear protective skin. They are older, heavier, and easier to repair than fashionable pressure gloves. When the suit inflates, the braids pull each joint inward, preserving grip at the cost of a faint springy resistance. Copper mesh warms the fingertips and carries touch signals from crude pressure pads. The palms can be replaced with cut sheet and adhesive in any competent workshop. Crews prize them for that. The exposed braid tarnishes green around salt leaks, providing an early warning no software update can improve. Polish is optional. Fixing the leak is not.
