Dead Reckon Radiation Overlayer

Dead Reckon’s overlayer is a dull yellow apron-and-cape assembly lined with flexible boron tiles. It was designed for reactor crawls where full shadow shielding will not fit. The tiles overlap like fish scales across chest, shoulders, groin, and spine; gaps remain at the joints because bodies insist on moving. Each tile carries a dye strip that darkens with exposure, giving the garment a bruised appearance after hard use. It is heavy, catches on ladders, and saves lives without pretending to be comfortable. Salvage yards sometimes sell black-painted examples to hide dose history. Scratch a corner before buying. If the yellow beneath is already brown, keep walking.
