Hullside’s armor cradle is a broad, wheeled rack built for ships where workshop space gets reassigned every week. Powered clamps take a suit’s weight, rotate it horizontal, and let a technician reach the back plates without a crane. Drip trays catch coolant, blood, and cleaning solvent in separate ugly channels. Diagnostic leads are thick, color-coded, and repairable with ordinary connectors. The cradle folds against a bulkhead when empty, though crews inevitably hang hoses, coats, and lunch bags from it until folding becomes folklore. During violent maneuvering it locks its wheels and hugs the suit tight. If the brakes squeal, clean them. If they sing, replace them.
