Latchkey hides radiation protection inside what looks like a mechanic’s gray coverall. Microfluid channels circulate dense shielding gel toward whichever side receives the highest dose, stiffening the garment there while leaving joints mobile. The wearer feels the shift as a slow cold pressure across the skin. It is excellent for moving hot sources and poor for hazards arriving from every direction. A collar display shows a simple white key closing as exposure rises. When the key becomes solid, leave. There is no secret reserve after solid. Used suits sometimes carry frozen gel pockets where channels collapsed. Run the self-test before trusting one, preferably while still somewhere with walls.
