Quiet Current’s helmet has no fan. Heat moves through silent fluid channels around the visor and skull, driven by the wearer’s motion and a small pump in the neck ring. In a cold wreck, the absence of fan noise lets crews hear structure creak through their suit. Sometimes that is useful. Sometimes it is the last thing they wanted. The gold-gray visor resists frost and cuts hard glare from work lamps. An external shutter closes mechanically if the faceplate cracks, leaving only a narrow periscope slit. Visibility becomes miserable, but misery beats vacuum. The helmet mates with common rings after swapping one of three included adapters.
