Wakeglass hangs like a clear rain cape until its cells charge, then a faint silver haze moves through the fabric. The overlayer spreads reactive hydrogen gel between transparent polymer skins, thickening where dosimeters find the hardest radiation. It snaps over a vac shell without blocking seals, joints, or most helmet fittings. Micrometeor grit leaves white stars in the material; too many stars turn the cape into expensive laundry. It is meant for brief reactor work, solar tantrums, and crossing hot wrecks—not sleeping beside an exposed core because the badge still reads green. After use, the gel tastes the dose for hours. Disposal crews can read that history. So can insurers.
