Dead Reckon Spar Survival Kit Crew Model packs the ugly interval between a suit alarm and an actual rescue. The build combines waxed canvas, felted wool, stitched leather, and forged rings; this dead reckon version adds blackened fittings with tactile alignment marks. Spar parts are long, stiff, and easy to brace against a hull. Its controls assume another pair of gloves may be helping. Inside are laminated hull patches, sealant cord, visor de-icer, chemical hand warmers, a compact oxygen reserve, casualty wrap, light line, and a dye-free locator strobe. Everything opens with pressure gloves and every pouch drains instead of trapping condensate. The cold arrives first through gloves and boots. Delay the rescue long enough and dexterity goes before judgment, then the patch job follows.
