Wayfarer Bastion Berth Shelter Service Issue

A berth shelter is a room carried in a bundle, and this one expects the room to be cold, sharp, and filthy. The build combines aramid weave, titanium hardware, fluorosilicone seals, and vacuum-rated aerogel; this wayfarer version adds blue-gray cloth, broad labels, and parts common to merchant docks. Bastion parts are thick, obvious, and meant to survive a frightened crew. The service issue favors numbered parts and an inspection trail over polish. Crew pull the corner tapes, lock the hoop sections, and connect bottled air at the guarded manifold. The vestibule is cramped on purpose: less volume means less gas wasted each time a casualty comes through. A slow seam leak becomes a cold, wet coffin if the crew trusts the pressure light and stops checking the fabric.
