Dockglass dresses orbital distilling in green bottle-glass, tar-dark cord, and deliberate bubbles that imitate old port workmanship. The six spirits are genuine, at least: each matured under a different gravity cycle, leaving mineral heat and molasses sweetness in unstable layers. Service begins by lashing the case to the table and wetting the cord with the first discarded measure. Port families once did this to test for leaks. Spire patrons do it because the booklet says so. Magnetic tumblers keep the liquor close in weak gravity, though nothing saves a cream sleeve from an arrogant pour. Seals must be greased monthly; the cord takes harbor stink and never quite gives it back. Dockworkers tend to recognize the case as expensive costume, which can buy a laugh or earn cold contempt depending on the tip. Owners often acquire a taste for “authentic” numbered batches, then learn the secondary market runs on forged dock stamps, collector credit, and grudges older than the distillery.
