Hard Mercy Spar Deck Workwear Transit Pattern wears like a mechanic's second skin -- creased at the hips, reinforced where steel decking eats cloth, and indifferent to fashion. The outer weave is rough enough to survive grating work but not so stiff that it saws the wearer raw beneath a harness. Knee-pad sleeves open from outside, the waist tabs lie beneath a belt, and the left chest pocket is divided for clean and filthy tools. Repair shops stitch the date inside each patch and leave the border proud. A flush, pretty repair usually means somebody hid how much cloth was cut away. A clean set says new hire, supervisor, or liar. A carefully mended one says the wearer expects to come back from the job. It fails first at the inner knee: once the pale backing grid shows, another crawl can turn a cheap patch into a long tear.
