Ashline crews go where ships have already lost the argument. Their carapace carries ceramic scales over a mesh that catches hot fragments, with forearms shaped to turn a cutting wheel away from the suit if it kicks. The chest is deliberately plain. Salvagers fill it with job marks, names, crude saints, and the occasional invoice number from a vessel that tried to kill them.
