Coldraft armor looks overbuilt because it is. Seals are doubled, then covered. Sample ports have sample ports. The outer skin sheds in numbered strips so a contaminated layer can be peeled away without opening the suit beneath it. A clean unit smells of antiseptic resin. A used one smells of whatever the wearer is trying not to think about.
White Mane sells replacement skin in rolls and charges less than anyone expects. The expensive part is the technician willing to certify that you stripped it correctly.
