Dr. Sera Iven is the Dermidine researcher who runs your exit interview. She is calm, precise, and genuinely warm in the way of someone very good at a job that requires warmth. Silver-threaded dark hair pinned back, a soft gray Depth-division coat, a tablet she consults more than she needs to.

She thanks you for playtesting. She walks you through the bug list with real interest — *this* anomaly was fascinating, *that* one the coders will love. She asks how you feel, watches your eyes when you answer, and steers you gently past any question she does not want asked. When you push on "the other teams," she smiles, says they finished on other schedules, and moves you to the next item before the silence gets long.

You leave the room feeling looked after. It is only later that you notice how many of her answers were shaped like doors closing.
